I read the word “Aveda” on something, which made me think of this song:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7EJ7ZIF_OY
which made me think of this entire album:
so I listened to it while making chili. Have you ever been unable to remember if you’ve seen a band live or not? Because I feel like I saw Hot Hot Heat when I was dating my ex-bf Chris, but maybe I dreamed that?
Two migraines in one weekend. My mom is still not doing well. I’m trying to distract myself by watching Tim Gunn interview celebrities on the red carpet.

Woman: Can I have birth control?
Government: No.
Woman: I got pregnant because I didn't have birth control and I don't want the fetus. Can I have an abortion?
Government: No.
Woman: I gave birth to my child but since I wasn't expecting it, I can't afford daycare. Can I have help paying for it?
Government: No.
Woman: My boyfriend isn't excited about sex anymore, because I lost my figure due to pregnancy. Will you pay for his erectile dysfunction pills?
Government: Yes.

Ok, so I took a cat nap. It was refreshing.
Surprisingly, my aforementioned mental exhaustion is not due to my job, but to my mom. I hadn’t heard from her at all last week, so this past Sunday I gave her a call. Her voice was shaky, like she was going to tell me that someone died. Instead, she said, “I’m kind of having an OCD moment”. I had no idea what she was talking...

One of the best SNL sketches ever.
Oh dear lord. I don’t know why breaks are so funny, but this had me crying!
That whole episode with Lindsey Lohan hosting is surprisingly hilarious.
Forgot how much I like Brandtson.
sedatephobia:
and how many of their song titles are Wes Anderson or Cohen Brothers movie references.
When ye olde husband got his wisdom teeth pulled, he referenced this band in his post-surgery stupor. When I was sitting with him in the recovery room, he said I didn’t need to bring him home because “the guys from Brandtson are giving me a ride home”. So random.

I wish jess had tumblr so she could post glittery pants pictures. Those were still the highlight for me.
Luckily the photo is on my phone… give me a minute.
